Leadership team

Jamie Lake
Group CEO

Jamie Lake
Group CEO
Since December, 2012
Jamie joined PCS in 2012 as a Voice and Network Engineer, entering the industry with no prior experience. Over two years he developed a strong understanding of voice and network technologies, which led to him stepping into the role of Operations Manager where he was responsible for delivering and managing customer service and project delivery across the business. Following a successful tenure, Jamie was promoted to General Manager, taking on full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the office while becoming more involved in sales activities. He then progressed to the position of Commercial Director, focusing on driving new business sales, maintaining relationships with key clients and vendors and negotiating the best commercial terms for the business.
After two and a half years in this role, Jamie was promoted to Managing Director to oversee the daily operations of the business, implement business strategy, and lead the senior management team. Then in 2021, Jamie was appointed CEO, where he is now responsible for defining and executing the company’s vision and strategy, ensuring the continued growth of PCS while maintaining full P&L ownership for the PCS Group of companies. Jamie would describe his best work moment has been having the opportunity to work with and learn from his dad and stepping into the CEO role.
Three words to describe Jamie: Knowledgeable, passionate, precise
Go-to drink and snack at work: Double espresso, jalapeño nuts
Outside of work: Loves to travel with family and his life goal is to see as much of the world as possible
Hidden talent: He’s a pretty good cook – Caribbean food with jerk chicken and curried goat are his specialties!
strengths
Our fearless captain of the ship, Jamie has a knack for thinking outside the box, building rock-solid relationships, and spotting the tiniest detail from a mile away. He’s quick-witted, unflappable, and has the patience of a saint — plus he can host a BBQ like nobody’s business and don’t even get us started on his legendary goat curry!
weaknesses
Stubborn as a mule (in a good way), a little too competitive in anything, and known to lose hours perfecting his Batman Lego displays. Add in a taste for nice wine and whiskey, and you’ve got a CEO who’s as passionate about the finer things as he is about Pure Cloud.

Matt Simpson
Sales Director

Matt Simpson
Sales Director
Since November, 2018
Matt has over 23 years of industry experience. As Sales Director, day-to day he supports the sales team, selling our products and building and maintaining relationships with our valued partners. His best work moment … winning the award for largest independent mobile deal of the year.
Three words to describe Matt: Caring, passionate and genuine
Go-to drink and snack at work: White coffee, one sugar
Outside of work: You’ll find Matt supporting his local football team, Mansfield Town on long family walks or weekend breaks with his cocker spaniel.
Hidden talent: …
strengths
Matt’s the master communicator who can talk to anyone, anywhere, about anything (and usually make them laugh while he’s at it). He’s hardworking, analytical, and relentlessly positive — the kind of guy who can turn even the Monday morning pipeline meeting into a motivational moment.
weaknesses
He’s an overthinker who sometimes sticks to his guns a little too hard, and spicy food is his kryptonite (which is unfortunate, because Jamie keeps trying to feed him goat curry).

Nick Matthews
Technical Director

Nick Matthews
Technical Director
Since September, 2005
Nick started his career as a trainee data cabling engineer straight from school and has done this ever since. He is now a senior engineer specialising in VoIP, networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity and compliance and has moved into the position of Technical Director. Nick also holds the position of lead Cyber Essentials assessor here at Pure Cloud. He’s not afraid to get stuck into any element of the job (never forget where you came from is the way he looks at it)!Nick believes engaging with clients and having that personal touch makes all the difference. His best work moment? Watching the growth and development of PCS over the 20 years of working here.
Three words to describe Nick: Expert, guru, strategic
Go-to drink and snack at work: No fuss coffee, salt and vinegar crisps, scotch egg
Outside of work: Loves going for a curry and a few beers!
Hidden talent: Microsoft Flight Simulator
strengths
Nick actually likes reading manuals (yes, really) — and it shows, because if something’s broken, he’s usually the one who makes it work again. Combine that with his Black Country accent and you’ve got the technical brains of Pure Cloud with a voice you won’t forget.
weaknesses
Nick steers clear of anything citrusy, avoids football (and pretty much any sport for that matter), and claims his knees are in early retirement. Luckily, he’s still got plenty of energy for a good pint — which makes up for it.
FINANCE

Pete Roden
Credit Controller

Pete Roden
Credit Controller
Since April, 2016
Pete has worked in the finance industry for 46 years! Since joining PCS just over 10 years ago, Pete’s role has gone from general office duties to taking on the role of credit controller. His most memorable moment at PCS was attending an awards evening with BCFC legend, Dele Adebola!
Three words to describe Pete: Caring, genuine, wonderful
Go-to drink and snack at work: Flat white, jelly sweets
Outside of work: Enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf
Hidden talent: Representing the County at Crown Green Bowls
strengths
Pete’s as approachable as they come, never late, and known for hosting a BBQ that could give Jamie a run for his money. When it comes to keeping credit control running smoothly, Pete’s the guy who makes sure everything’s done on time and with a smile.
weaknesses
Not a fan of change, avoids working from home as much as he can, and probably keeps Walkers in business single-handedly — bonus points if you bring crisps to his BBQ!
customer service & projects

Lauren Parkes
Projects and Service Coordinator

Lauren Parkes
Projects and Service Coordinator
Since June, 2015
Lauren has worked in the telecoms industry for 10 years and has recently taken on an engineering role alongside her support role. One of the most memorable work moments for Lauren was going to Cheltenham with the business.
Three words to describe Lauren: Passionate, ambitious, kind-hearted
Go-to drink and snack at work: Tea with a taj
Outside of work: Enjoys spending time with family and friends
Hidden talent: Skiing
strengths
Lauren is quick on the uptake, adaptable in any situation, and can bake a cake so good it disappears in record time. She’s the kind of teammate who jumps in without hesitation and keeps things running smoothly no matter what’s thrown her way.
weaknesses
Can’t say no (even to the most outrageous requests), is far too hard on herself, and has a weakness for Chinese takeaway — just don’t ask her to share it.

Shalleen Greaseley
Projects and Service Coordinator

Shalleen Greaseley
Projects and Service Coordinator
Since October, 2021
Shalleen has over 20 years experience in telecoms and not only is she our Mobile Projects and Services Coordinator, she has also taken on the role of billing for the company. Best work moment? Attending the Comms Business awards and being part of the team that won Best Connectivity Solution and Best ICT Solution!
Three words to describe Shalleen: Dedicated, supportive, adaptable
Go-to drink and snack at work: Caramel latte and sweets
Outside of work: Loves going the gym, booking flights and listening to country music
Hidden talent: Finding the cheapest flights to the best places
strengths
Shalleen is basically the team’s unofficial travel agent — she can sniff out the best flights and hotels like it’s a superpower. When she’s not planning the perfect getaway, she’s probably speed-reading her way through a good book (and finishing it in a single day).
weaknesses
Completely powerless around cakes and anything sugary — the team has learned to hide the treats if they want them to last past lunchtime.

Stacey Hall
Projects and Service Coordinator

Stacey Hall
Projects and Service Coordinator
Since January, 2023
Stacey has been in the telecoms industry for over 10 years, joining PCS in 2023 as a Project and Services Coordinator. The role was initially to cover maternity leave but she was so good, she had to stay! Stacey’s best work moment? Being offered a permanent position following maternity cover.
Three words to describe Stacey: Helpful, supportive, honest
Go-to drink and snack at work: Black coffee and gingernuts
Outside of work: Loves spending time with family and friends
Hidden talent – Crocheting
strengths
Stacey is our resident diplomat — calm, collected, and always ready to smooth things over. She can crochet just about anything (seriously, try her), and she has a pair of glasses to match every mood, outfit, and probably even ticket priority.
weaknesses
Completely powerless against a fresh ball of wool and somehow keeps finding space for “just one more” pair of Dr. Martens — her shoe rack is on the brink of collapse.
